Inspired by both bicycle technology and automotive engineering, Eav bikes are pedal-assisted electric cargo bikes, delivering the practicality of a van with the agility and efficiency of a bike.

Eav approached Neatt with a clear challenge: they needed a proof‑of‑concept prototype for a new cargo bike cage. something tangible their team could see, touch, and test long before committing to full production.

Our team worked on-site with Eav’s engineers, combining practical problem‑solving with rapid prototyping to shape the design in real time. Building at full scale allowed us to run detailed fit checks for riders, ensuring the cage felt intuitive to use.

As the prototype came together, we focused heavily on usability, accessibility, and rider interactions.

We carried out a cost‑down exercise for Eav, exploring smart adjustments that could simplify manufacturing, reduce material use, or streamline assembly without compromising the integrity of the design.

The result was a fully working prototype: a robust, thoughtful, full‑scale model that gave Eav the clarity and confidence to move forward.

This proof of concept prototoype allowed Eav to quickly assess the design, iterate and iumprove where needed before going through to production.
